These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of resumeFORGE ("the Service"), operated by resumeFORGE ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of Service

resumeFORGE is a software-as-a-service platform that helps users create tailored resumes, cover letters, and job fit analyses using AI-assisted generation. The Service includes both free and paid subscription tiers.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and promptly update it if it changes.

3. Subscriptions & Billing

Free tier: Includes limited resume generations, fit analyses, and access to core features at no cost.

Pro tier: Paid subscription billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel. You may cancel at any time through the Manage Subscription option in your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you cancel, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your current paid period.

Price changes: We may change subscription pricing with 30 days' advance notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses third-party AI models to generate resumes, cover letters, and analyses. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and editing all AI-generated content before use. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any generated content. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.

5. Your Content & Data

You retain ownership of all personal information, resume data, and job descriptions you provide to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not sell your personal data. 6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit generated content as a competing service
Abuse the Service by automated means (bots, scripts, scrapers) beyond normal use
Misrepresent AI-generated content as human-written in contexts where disclosure is required

7. Service Availability & Discontinuation

The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time. If we permanently discontinue the Service, we will provide at least 30 days' written notice to registered users via email. Active Pro subscribers will receive a pro-rated refund for any unused portion of their current billing period. During the notice period, you will be able to export your data.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunities, lost profits, or loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that generated content will be error-free, or that the Service will result in any particular employment outcome.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your use of AI-generated content.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including limitations of liability and indemnification) will survive.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
